Robin Parker retains Manor & Labour given a fright in Chells.2.35.00am BST (GMT +0100) Fri 4th May 2007 Robin Parker was re-elected local council for Manor Ward in this years Local elections. Full result listed below. However in the target seat of Chells June Griffith fought a hard campaign but lost by the smallest of margins, just 21 votes. Manor Ward ----------- Robin Parker (LD) 1091 Susan Smith (Con) 465 Joseph Sherry (Lab) 449 Chells Ward ----------- Howard Burrell (Lab) 771 June Griffith (LD) 750 Julie Seddon (Con) 318 Apart from the Chells result there was no real other excitement in the local elections with it still being 'as you were' on Stevenage Borough Council. Labour have 32 councillors, Lib Dems 4 councillors & the Conservatives 3 councillors.
